Lucero De La Tierra's insight:
Love this! We received a message from Cookie's teacher this morning about finding books by reading level. This moved me to do some searching. Lo and behold I found this site, "Good Books for Kids". If you look at the bloggers Pinterest feed it is rife with books sorted into categories by age, topic, type, etc., etc. Great for preparing for a trip to the library! I really hate going into the library blind. That is not knowing what I'm looking for or what would be appropriate for my daughters to read. It is daunting looking at all those shelves upon shelves of books and having to vet each one on the spot for read-worthiness and difficulty level. When I have time to spare I like to let my girls explore, but most times I have to treat my trips to the library like trips to the grocery store. Make a list, find your stuff, check out and go home.
How do you decide what to bring home from the library?
